Technology & Innovation Transforming Child Health (TITCH) is a national network that helps develop new technologies and innovations to improve children’s healthcare. They required a series of advertisements for a childhood incontinence event aimed at children.
During my internship at EatFishDesign we were approached by TITCH. Whilst the event itself was catered towards children, the flyers were mostly aimed at parents and teachers to inform them about the future event. At first we created a clean layout decorated with iconographic styling using TITCH’s colour schemes, but we noticed something was missing.
I proposed having cartoon characters of engineers as they were the ones developing the products for incontinence and are promoting the event. It took a bit of time going backwards and forwards with the client to product suitable character designs but in the end we came up with the design for 2 research engineers, one male and one female. The characters are featured in future promotional material on social media related to this event.
