Incarceration: Are Prisons a Suitable Punishment? is an online course created by University of Leeds for the platform FutureLearn. The course explores the prison system in the UK, looks at case studies, and discusses whether prison can be justified or if alternatives are more suitable.
I was tasked with creating and styling 2 interactives using the authoring tool Evolve.
Due to the seriousness of the course topic, I opted for an overall dark look. The style consisted mainly of high contrast black and white photography with orange highlights to achieve a dramatic appeal. The lack of colour represents many negative connotations that can be reflected in the themes within the course, such as loss, depression, and emotional detachment.
The links provided below will take you to the interactives.
